Jonathan Matthew Groth is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in sales operations and analytics and a passion for music. Throughout his career, Jonathan has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering leadership, enhancing customer relations, and driving business success. Jonathan’s academic background is as impressive as his professional accomplishments. From 2010 to 2011, he pursued Organizational Business and Leadership coursework at Harvard Business School, equipping himself with cutting-edge knowledge and leadership strategies. He holds an M.B.A. in Business Management (2008-2009) and a B.A. in Operations Management and Marketing (2006-2008), both from Walsh University.

Jonathan began his career at AT&T in May 2008 as a Business Account Executive and was later promoted to sales manager. He achieved remarkable sales targets and received multiple awards for his performance. His market analysis and strategic creativity significantly contributed to the company’s market penetration and revenue growth.

In February 2012, Jonathan joined T.I.S., Inc. as the V.P. of National Sales. During his tenure, he increased sales revenue and efficiently managed a team of 15 account managers. He secured a venture capital offer and led the team to a 41% sales increase in the first year. His realignment of the sales department and development of strategic initiatives were instrumental in achieving company goals.

From December 2014 to January 2017, Jonathan was the Regional Director of Sales & Operations at A2Z Emissions/A2Z Fire, managing operations and sales teams across multiple locations. His leadership resulted in significant improvements in customer service and sales processes.

After that, he joined Johnson Controls Inc., in California, where he worked as the Fire Service Sales Manager managing a team of 12 sales professionals. He was responsible for selling and renewing Fire Preventative Service Agreements, achieving 102% of the plan for FY19. His focus on key performance indicators, regular meetings, and strategic oversight ensured team success. He also managed the Northern California team and assisted in hiring efforts.

Outside his professional career, Jonathan has a profound passion for music. For the past 15 years, he has been an accomplished studio drummer in the Los Angeles market, collaborating with musicians and bands across various genres. His musical journey involves gauging musical trends, discovering potential new artists, and staying updated with industry news. Understanding past, current, and future sounds is crucial for Jonathan when creating songs that are marketable to the mainstream.
